It's finally time to relax!

After our major shopping expedition, I was ready to have a glass of wine, and make our first dinner in our new home.  As we headed out to dinner on Friday, we had seen a family eating dinner at the poolside.  They have plenty of umbrella tables and chairs.  Well, you know how much I enjoy dining al fresco!  I was ready to take advantage of the perks of our new home.  I prepared dinner while Rich put together the TV table.  Just as I was getting ready to figure out how to bring our dinner down the elevator, Rich told me that he was wearing out, and that seemed like too much work.  Gees, you'd think that man had given up a kidney!  So we decided to eat on our deck at hot-tub-side.  Now that could have been romantic, except that they're building a Holiday Inn Express right across the street.  It was 8 or 8:30 on a Saturday night, and they were WORKING!  I could barely here my iPod over the noise.  It was really surprising because the complex supervisor had told us the previous day that there were noise ordinances, to ensure that we did not disturb other tenants.  For instance, all deliveries must be made before 5 PM, no loud music, etc.  The owner of Rich's firm did tell him that the construction company could be reported, but that wouldn't have made Saturday night any more enjoyable.

On Sunday, we planned to stay home and unpack and put up our sleep number bed.  The weather gods cooperated with us by making it rain all day.  This is the rainy season in Singapore, so we were (pleasantly) surprised that we hadn't experienced any rain storms yet.  Sunday made up for it!  It just poured all day.  The weather gods smiled upon us again, though, by stopping the rain early in the evening, so that we could enjoy our new hot tub.  Thankfully, there was no construction going on either!
